What to Expect from Vooba's Video Services

At Vooba, we do things differently. While other agencies might just execute your ideas, our video creation team goes further. We truly listen to your vision, discuss your options, advise you with expert opinions, and pour our heart and soul into creating a carefully thought-through video, down to every detail.

Whether you come to us with a clear video idea or nothing at all, our professional team offers expert and creative guidance you're sure to love. We ensure no further steps are taken until you approve every detail of the video concept.

The Pre-Production Stage: Laying the Foundation

The pre-production stage of video creation is arguably the most important stage. Before going in and creating the video, we must establish a clear blueprint.

Client Onboarding Call
Before any production begins, our videographer and other members of our content team will have an initial conversation with you.

During this call, we aim to gather as much information as possible about your specific needs, goals, and brand identity. This helps us get a clearer understanding of the type of video services best suited for your business.

We'll discuss any existing video ideas you might have, as well as review assets like logos, branding guidelines, and graphics to ensure seamless brand integration.

Planning
After the onboarding call, our team debriefs and begins brainstorming ideas based on the information you've provided.

Once these concepts are developed, our video creator drafts a storyboard, outlining scenes, shots, visuals, and even a colour palette to depict the vision as accurately as possible. For certain video styles, such as interviews or pieces featuring people speaking, a script will also be crafted by members of our content team.

Client Approval
Once both the storyboard and script are complete, they are sent to you for approval. At this stage, we highly encourage you to express your views and request any amendments – we're always happy to comply!

Upon your approval, a filming date is scheduled (unless the video is fully animated, in which case production begins immediately). We then compile a list of all necessary equipment, which is subsequently rented. You're also more than welcome to suggest any specific equipment you'd like us to use.

It's worth noting that due to the dynamic nature of video production, plans might evolve on the day of filming. These on-the-spot changes are made to best reflect the immediate situation and often result in a more suitable and impactful video than originally planned.

The Production Stage: Bringing Ideas to Life

With a solid plan in place, the production stage marks the exciting transition from concept to reality. It's the moment we step behind the camera to gather all the essential footage, laying the visual groundwork for your finished video.

Shooting Day
Once we arrive at the chosen filming location, our team begins by setting up all the necessary equipment. We'll also provide a brief refresher on the day's plan, ensuring everyone is on the same page.

During filming, our videographer will focus on capturing diverse angles and ample B-roll footage. This variety is crucial for the editing stage, allowing us to create dynamic sequences with multiple perspectives that keep viewers engaged throughout the entire video.

As we've mentioned before, even with thorough planning, filming schedules can be altered on the day. Unforeseen anomalies may arise, but our skilled team is fully prepared for these moments. We adapt quickly and flexibly, making on-the-spot changes that ensure the quality and value of your content are never compromised.

After filming
Once the filming stage is complete, we conduct an on-site debrief and immediate review with you. This ensures all necessary shots have been captured to meet your vision. If any footage doesn't quite meet our high standards, we'll reshoot it on the same day to optimise time.

With all the desired footage collected, our videographer then meticulously transfers all recorded video and audio to the computer. Multiple copies are made immediately to ensure data security and redundancy. At this point, the raw footage is ready to embark on its journey, coming together to become a high-quality, bespoke video made just for you!

The Post-Production Stage: Crafting the Masterpiece

The post-production stage is when scraps come together to create a masterpiece. With hours of editing and tweaking, we transform raw footage into compelling stories that resonate.

The Early Stages of Editing
This intricate process begins with initial organisation: our videographer carefully labels all footage, deletes unnecessary clips, and neatly organises files into dedicated "bins" for graphics, audio, and video within Adobe Premiere Pro.

A crucial early step, especially when using external microphones and cameras, is audio syncing, where we perform rigorous tests to ensure perfect alignment between visuals and sounds. Following this, we move into colour grading, enhancing the visual realism and vibrancy of your video to give it a professional and consistent look.

Editing Workflow
Here, our editing workflow truly takes shape.

We start with carefully placing and cutting clips into a sequence according to the script/storyboard. At this stage, we also add B-roll, a method of cutting to different angles or footage for visual appeal. Fortunately, B-roll is also used to fix minor issues that could ruin the effect of the video, for example, if the subject talking in the video was looking around too much, B-roll would be able to mask that. Any effects needed will also be added in this stage.

Mastering Audio
At this point, we turn our attention to audio. This involves ensuring consistent audio levels throughout, meticulously adjusting decibels and applying filters for a seamless, natural sound.

While music isn't always suitable for every video, in many cases, it significantly increases viewer attention span and creates a more engaging experience. When appropriate, we carefully select and strategically edit musical elements, sometimes even isolating instruments or precisely timing their entry to enhance the emotional impact of your message.

Even then, our commitment to perfection means multiple final watches and subtle tweaks are made before export. While editing timelines can vary depending on complexity, our goal is typically to have this intricate process completed within a week.

The Delivery
Once the video is complete, our videographer shares the finished product with other team members for an internal review and feedback. Any suggestions are voiced and implemented to ensure the highest quality video.

Once this internal approval is secured, the video is then sent to you for your review. Any suggested edits or changes are made until you are fully satisfied with the result.

A final watch-through is conducted once more to guarantee an exceptional video. The product is then exported and uploaded by either Vooba or you directly,

depending on your preferences.
